ICSE Class 10 Further Reduced Syllabus Comparison 2020-21

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has worked with its subject experts to scale back the syllabi for all major subjects of the ICSE and ISC.

“Syllabus reduction has been done keeping in mind the linear progression across classes while ensuring that the core concepts associated with the topic are retained, “ said Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of the Council within the circular dated July 3rd.

     He had said that the heads of CISCE affiliated schools are asked to make sure that the priority subject teachers at the ICSE and ISC level transact the syllabus strictly consistent with the sequence of topics given within the syllabus so on facilitate a further reduction in the syllabus if required counting on things of the pandemic. 

    He said, "While CISCE affiliated schools have tried to adapt to the present changed scenario and have tried to stay alive in the teaching-learning process through online classes, there is a big shortening within the school year and loss of the educational hours."

And Now, CISCE has further reduced down the syllabus for class X and XII for the academic year 2020-21. Here the comparative reduction between the further reduced syllabus and the original syllabus for class X has been given for some of the subjects.
